Ugg boots color opinions needed?

I am looking at the 9" Emu (ugg style) boots in chestnut or chocolate. The thing is, i'm only 5'1, so which color would best suit me? Which color would NOT make me appear shorter? Are they out of style? Or will they be going out of style any time soon? I think they are soooo cute and really want some, but don't want to spend the money on something i'll only wear a couple months.
