What's up with guys and blondes?

I recently dyed my hair light ash blonde. And my husband like LUVS it. But why blonde? There must be some reason why britney spears, hugh hefner's girlfriends, hannah montana, ayumi hamasaki^^, etc choose blonde as hair color. Why do guys like light hair on girl? Is it cuz it's the opposite of tall dark and handsome? Is blonde hair more "feminine"?
