Qu. for parents of shy kids?

My daughter is 4. She has been really shy since she was 1. She does not like anyone she doesn't know. There is some friends of ours that she has known for 3 yrs that she hates. They are more then nice to her, but she doesn't know them well. She is only ok with people she knows well. Family and the such. She does seem to do better with women then men. We put her in a preschool to help with this before she starts school next yr. It went very well. There were moments but for the most part she has adapted well, and made friends with her teachers. There is a new teacher that started a few months ago. He is nice. I've met him. He's not her teacher but will sometimes relieve her teacher for lunch and watch the cl for about 30 mins to an hr. She has started having problems. She HATES when he comes in her cl and starts crying. She swears he has been nothing but nice to her but "I don't like him b/c I don't know him" That's what she told me. I have tried everything I know. Any ideas?

My milk supply is pretty much gone. My baby is 6 weeks old. He just latched on for the first time yesterday, but I have very very little milk, so he's just basically using me as a pacifier. (I am using an SNS from Medela.) I've heard Fenugreek is a good option, but I am diabetic, so I have to talk to my doctor about this on March 2 when I go in for my 6 week pp check up. They have screwed him over and made many, many, many promises to him in the past, and ultimately left him in the cold and basically let him go. It caused problems for a year between us, his family, his children, with the entire situation. I am very aware that this is a bad thing. I also know what can happen if he eats his own feces. What I need to know is- how do I keep him off the bottom tray? Stomach problems? What is going on?

Since the beginning of January my stomach has been making really weird growling/rumbling sounds (sometimes it sounds like im farting, but im not!) and I can feel stuff moving around violently all over my stomach. OMG Pam Beesley has just quit!!!?

After watching last weeks episode and seeing Micheal quit I had no idea this would happen. As soon as she stood up from her desk and says "OH NO" you don't want to believe it but you knew exactly what was gonna happen. It seriously hit me like a freight train and I never even saw it coming. I mean we always knew that Pam was not happy with her job and had expressed many times with the concern of the decline in her career field. This has completely taken me by surprise. We're watching someone's dog this weekend and I'll admit, he's really hard to handle. He poops on the floor even after he's just gone outside. Does anyone remember any imagery from being in a coma?

I've asked this question before with little response. Need to know if anyone recalls any mental activity while in a coma (medically induced preferably). I was in a MIC (medically induced coma) for a month and it was one continuous nightmare. It was so horrific in fact that they, the medical team, had a difficult time keeping my heart rate within normal parameters. That being said, I healed from the physical trauma (broken back, broken neck, broken ribs, collapsed lung, shattered clavicle, etc) waaaaay before I healed from the psychological trauma from having gone through what I did while in that coma. As a matter of fact, to be more specific, it took me roughly 7-8 months to completely heal from the physical aspect of it all, but the psychological aspect of it took me well over two years to completely return back to my original sense of being. So, there it is. If anyone is indeed out there who does recall, pleeeeeeeease relate your experience in detail.

Why did she hug me? Does she like me?

Hey, well there's this girl who seems to like me (if she does she is extremely brave). She is pretty shy (like me) and doesn't have many friends (also like me). We hadn't spoken more then a few words to eachother before she randomly hugged me. Here's how it happned: I was walking to cl like I always do with one hand in my pocket and the other holding my books. I was lost in thought (people tell me I look sad when I space out like that). Suddenly someone wrapped their arms around me from behind while flying foward. I stumbled, but regained my balance. Whoever had their arms around me squeezed me tightly with their arms, snuggled their head against my neck, and let out a big sigh. after that they let go and I turned around. I saw a girl who I recognize from a group I'm in. I asked what that was for and she said "y-you uhh... You looked like you needed a hug." then ran off before I could say anything else. About a week later I decided to take a risk (remember, I, aswell as her, are really shy) and return the hug. I saw her at the little meet-up I had with the group we're in and tried to hug her, but got to nervous and decided to just talk to her. I tapped on her sholder and smiled. I said "Hi", but she looked at the ground and said she had to go check something for the group and ran off. Lastly, I finaly got the courage to hug her. When everyone in the group was going home I ran over and hugged her and quickly let go. I told her I was repaying her for making my day. She started blushing a bit and smiled. then we left. I think she might have just thought I needed a hug, or even looked like someone else from behind. I really doubt she likes me, I'm nobody special, and there are plenty of other guys who are better then I am. Now, it isn't as likely as it sounds. I'm not sure why she'd like me, I'm just your avrage, nerdy, inexperianced, shy guy. Don't just ume that she likes me because it sorta sounds like it. Take a minute and think about all of this. I have a comet goldfish called Bilbo she has been on her own for a while now firstly because the fish that was with her got fin rot (about 4 motnhs ago)so we immediately took her out and put her in another tank so she never got it. Second trimester morning/evening sickness?

I'm 11 weeks (almost 12) pregnant, and so I'm pretty much out of the first trimester. During the first trimester, I wasn't sick at all. Now, right after dinner I vomit. I've taken to eating primarily bland foods so it doesn't upset my stomach but that doesn't do much. Also, now all of a sudden I get morning sickness. I have a fish but i dont know what type of fish it is. It is a stripped fish that is like brownish yellowish. The stipes are verticle and are pretty thick. He is lives in my 10 gallon tank so he is not huge but he is big for a 10 gal. Also he has fins (duh) and somewhat resembles a shark-like fish. He eats flakes but he also ate 3 of my other fish so im guessing he is an omnivore. He usually stays at the bottom of the tank and hides in one of my ornaments. Middle Name for Jaden?

I am expecting my 2nd son, we are naming him Jaden, however i am stumped on a middle name. My first son is Owen Trent. I know we still have some time between now and the season opener but I'm pretty anxious to what the season has in store for us and how Brian Kelly can do his 1st season. First off I think the spread offense is way better than pro style especially for Notre Dame, considering Notre Dame has a less than steller running game, don't get me wrong Armando Allen is good but he's no Adrian Peterson. The receiving corps I have to say is one of the best in the nation, Michael Floyd and Kyle Rudolph will be 1st round picks this year or the next, Duval Kamara and Shaquelle Evans both are solid options not to mention Allen is a pretty good catching running back. But I think the two biggest questions are the defense and quarterback. Our defense WILL be better because that was never a concern for Weis, all he did at Notre Dame was try and prepare players for the NFL,namely Jimmy Clausen. So we have Dayne Christ at quarterback, he's taller and can see the field easier, not to mention a slight upgrade in mobility, I think we can finally see the Notre Dame offense blossom and score 30-50 points a game. At best I hope we finish 10-2, most of our games are winnable and if we could beat USC then I think we might have a shot at the top 10. Give me your opinions, not Notre Dame haters saying how they'll go winless or will suck or whatever.

I rent. My central heat and central air has been broken since February 13.?

My landlord has failed to fix our central heat and air conditioning unit since February 13th. We went with no heat in thew winter. I have 2 children. They gave us space heaters that would cause the circuit breaker to trip and shut everything down with in 5 mins. We own our own electric fireplaces so we used them one in my bedroom one in the livingroom. Very cold for kids to shower in the morning. Now we have no AC. We had a heatwave were our apartment was at about 105 degrees F for 4-5 days. They provided no fans. We had to buy our own fans. We have not paid last months rent or this months rent yet. Not because we are with holding it but because my husband is a contractor. He hasn't been paid yet. We have lived here for 11 years. They know when we have it we pay it ASAP. They have told me there is a specialty part the unit needs. They said it would be ready this week. Now I find out the family member/landlord who deals with that is on holidays for 2 weeks. It's going to be hot here in Ontario. The sister/landlord calls me at 12pm on the day rent is due to ask for the rent. Is it just me or is she insane?? THEY HAVEN'T FIXED OUR STUFF FOR 5 MONTHS. Also the light in the ceiling caught on fire a week ago and my son was terrified. They have don't nothing about that. Just told me to not turn it on anymore. I left my Peace Lily in the car over night in freezing temperatures, is there any way to save it?

I accidentally left my peace lily in the car overnight when the temperature outside was below freezing. Now the plant has wilted and the leaves look kind of like cooked spinach. It's back inside now and I watered it but it's not looking any better. Is there any way to save the plant even if I have to cut off all the leaves? Or should I just buy a new plant? I'm hoping to be able to salvage the plant instead of buying a new one. Any suggestions?

I was pergnet with my baby boy. He was two weeks over due so I went to the hospital to see if everything was okay with him. When the doctor at winne palmer hospital in orlando florida checked me she said she could not find a heart beat. She deturmed that my baby boy was dead. How could of this happen I ask myself? He was just moving around inside of me just a few hours ago. I could not belive what happend. They indused my labor so I could give birth to my unborn baby. When he come out my husband said that they broke his neck and sholder. WHAT!! I though to myself. Most the people here in the religion section are atheists. I have seen a few Christians on here but not many.
